ADEPT's Dana Pollitt reappointed to Aviation Advisory Board

Pollitt to continue his service with the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport Aviation Advisory Board

On May 16th Mayor John P. "Jack" Seiler and the City of Fort Lauderdale Commission elected to reappoint Dana Pollitt to the City of Fort Lauderdale's Aviation Advisory Board.  Pollitt will be serving his fourth term of a possible six year term.  The Aviation Advisory Board has the power and duty to recommend to the city commission action necessary for the planning, establishment, development, construction, enlargement, improvement, maintenance, operation, regulation, protection and policing of airports owned, operated, and controlled by the city.

Pollitt and his business partner Julie Ruffolo of ADEPT Public Relations, LLC recently received Federal Certification for Airport Concessions related work including Marketing Consulting Services, Advertising, Public Relations, Document Preparation Services and Marketing Research and Public Opinion Polling.  Their firm currently purchases advertising, makes media buys and creates displays for clients at airports.

On November 21st ADEPT Public Relations, LLC received it's renewal certification as a Federal DBE from the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development.  Additionally, ADEPT has been certified as an Airport Concessions DBE [ACDBE] in Florida, under the Unified Certification Program (UCP) in accordance with 49 CFR, PARTS 26 and 23.  ACDBE certification enables the firm to compete for, and perform, contract work on all USDOT Federal Aid (FAA, FTA and FHWA) projects in Florida as a DBE/ACDBE contractor, sub-contractor, consultant, and sub-consultant or material supplier.  

Pollitt, an advocate for the Florida Airports Industry for years is natural fit for the Aviation Advisory Board. Pollitt has more than 20 years of experience working at small, mid and large hubs as well as general aviation airports across the country. Prior to co-founding ADEPT, he served as the Florida Airport/Seaport sector leader for a large focused supplier of high-value consultancy, engineering and project management services. In this role his responsibilities included overseeing the coordination and communication with all ninety-five Florida Airports. He has coordinated, acted as a stakeholder liaison and maintained relationships with Airport Directors, Planners, Engineering and Construction Leadership and Airport tenants. During his role he focused on delivering designs and maintaining strategic and complex assets for his customers.

In the past Mr. Pollitt has served as a member of the Florida Airports Council and has proven himself in the realm of strategic consulting, coalition and consensus building, government liaison/relations, stakeholder coordination and strategic partnering.
