Up, Up, and Away! Concourse A at FLL's Terminal 1 Ready for Takeoff...
It’s been a long time coming, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) new Concourse A in Terminal 1 is opening its doors. The new expansion was part of a cooperative agreement between Southwest Airlines and the Broward County Aviation Department to manage and oversee the construction activities. The expansion includes a new three hundred million dollar modernization of the terminal mall that started in 2015. The project will reach completion date at the end of June 2017.
The new facility will help serve Southwest travelers flying aboard new international flights. The new gates will allow FLL to offer more international and domestic destinations.
There is no excuse not to book your flights to San José, Costa Rica or Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic this November! Southwest is even offering hard to beat prices on one-way tickets from November 5th to January 7th.
