Local, Natural Pickles to Make You Go "Yee-Haw!"

Founded just four years ago in July 2011, the Yee-Haw Pickle Company was established by owners and pickle-lovers Andrew and Allison Cesati in Park City, Utah, and has quickly spread as a local favorite nationwide. After a long search for a healthy and quality pickle, too often filled with artificial ingredients and preservatives, they decided to create their own.

Andrew and Allison began creating their concoctions of locally grown cucumbers and brine after continued disappointment with local food store jarred pickles that were packed with unappetizing preservatives, colored additives and refined sugars. With a goal to produce a healthy, chemical-free alternative to packaged pickles, sourcing the finest, quality ingredients and a belief that “what’s in the jar matters,” Yee-Haw Pickles was born.

From the very beginning, Yee-Haw Pickles has worked hard to establish lasting relationships with local growers whose quality aligns with its own. Cucumbers, essential to creating premium pickles, are sourced from growers they have found to consistently provide the freshest, thin-skinned product at its proper maturity. These are then packed within just a few days of picking to preserve taste and crunch. Avoiding the use of artificial preservatives in their product, Andrew and Allison use raw, wildflower honey straight from the Bitterroot Mountains in Montana to give their pickles a sweet taste and the natural spice of Turmeric for beautiful, rich, natural color.

In such a short time, the husband and wife team are now preparing, packaging and selling six different variations of their successful product – five dills and one jar of pickled green beans. Flavors include original Hot Damn Dills, Giddy-Up Garlic Dills, No Frills Dills, Honey Sweet Stackers, Sweet & Spicy Stackers and the Bronc Buster Beans.

The hand-cut, hand-filled jars are processed in small batches, packed fresh in their special brine recipes and then pasteurized for distribution to its 600 plus retailers across the U.S. Retailers at select locations include Big R, Broulim’s Fresh Foods, Clark’s Market, Dan’s Fresh Market, Deer Valley Grocery, Earth Fare, Fresh Market, Harmons Grocery, Havasu Olive & Garlic Co., Hy-Vee, Liberty Heights Fresh, Lucky’s Market, Lunds & Byerlys, Macey’s, Moonflower Community Coop, Nugget Market, Pirate O’s, Ridley’s Family Markets, Schnucks, Smith’s, Sprouts Farmers Market, Sundance Resort, The Store, Vitamin Cottage, and Whole Foods Market.
